The mission had discovered part of a destroyed temple inside the southern canal. This is the main temple of the city (Amon Jarb),   In addition to many pottery from the 3rd and 2nd century BC, bronze coins were discovered in the temple from the reign of Ptolemy II and parts of columns, three meters long.

Surveying the site using SSPI led to the discovery of the Port of Heraklion, which included a group of ports that were not previously known. "Head of Mission Franck Goddio explained. Archaeologist in charge, Franck Goddio, said:    Huge statues, inscriptions and architectural elements, jewels and coins and ritual objects show the glory of this ancient city. Archaeologists also discovered the missing part of a ritual boat that had not been discovered in previous excavations. Further discoveries, including coins from Ptolemaic and Byzantine times, as well as rings and earrings from Ptolemaic times, were discovered in Canopus, another sinking city nearby.
